“It’s actually a rare and precious thing to discover what it is you love to do, and I encourage you to remain unapologetically consumed by it. Be faithful to your gift and very confident in its value.”

Square One was the meeting point of our two cross country events; The Sears National Kids Cancer Ride and The National Inside Ride Tour. We met people who were very passionate about their cause and commitment. From Coast to Coast to our Ambassadors our Sponsors and our special guests…continue to discover your passion & joy in life, continue to make a difference in the life of a child living with and beyond cancer.

Today is one of our big “ride along” days, and by the time we hit Square One, we must have had more than 100 riders with us! It was pretty amazing. We had our current national rider team, some alumni from previous years, relay riders, Tour for Kids riders, and a few others. I’m sure we were a sight to see!

And what a reception is was … the biggest crowd we’ve had so far assembled at Square One to greet us … many of our GTA riders got to see friends and family for the first time in a couple of weeks. We heard from Calvin McDonald, the CEO of Sears Canada, Jeff Rushton, the founder of Coast to Coast, and a few other speakers – including Annaleise Carr, the 14 year old who swam across Lake Ontario to raise money for Camp Trillium.

While we are riding west to east, the “Inside Ride” is also on tour – going from East to West. We met in the middle today and we got to take part in an outdoor inside ride (which raised about $11,000!). If you’ve never had a chance to try one of these events, you really should – they are an absolute BLAST.

Thank you Shelley, safe journey
