- My greatest achievement to date would be my family. I love to travel with my husband Greg, I enjoy watching my kids play sports and walking ours dogs.
Why am I riding in the SNKCR?
I’m riding because like so many, my family has been touched by this horrible disease. It is my hope that by participating in this cause, I can be part of the solution and that my efforts may inspire others, within my circle of friends and family, to donate but to also participate.
My brother is a cancer survivor and while his diagnosis is a distant memory, his regular screenings bring back the memory of the day that we had first heard him say “I have cancer”. I believe that if we all do our part to raise money for cancer research, we will one day eliminate those three horrible words.
My cousin’s family has also been turned upside down, by childhood cancer. On August 12th, 2014, their precious daughter Molly was diagnosed with high risk pre B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It has broken my heart to see what that little body has gone through. Molly is an inspiration to many as she continues to fight this disease. I’ve watched my dear family ride on a roller coaster for the past few years and have felt utterly helpless. Thanks in no small part to the generous donations of people supporting organizations like SNKCR, today, Molly is in remission as she continues her treatment at Toronto Sick Kids.
I’ve wanted to become involved with SNKCR for some time as I can’t image a better cause to focus on than researching childhood cancer.
I ask today for your donation, 100% of the funds raised go to the research of Childhood Cancer.
