It is almost unbelievable that we have put a man on the moon but we cannot stop this cancer epidemic.
I have always been an active and physical person. When I learned about the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride, I knew that I had to participate. What a great idea, riding across Canada raising money and building awareness for charities that work to eliminate Childhood Cancer.
I am humbled by being chosen as one of the roughly 30 riders that will make the epic 6800 km journey across Canada. I do not just want to finish this journey. I want to finish strong!
Unfortunately, like most families, cancer is a disease that has affected our family. We recently lost two aunts to cancer. Luckily, we have not had to deal with childhood cancer.
I hope to move closer to a World where no family has to hear that “C” word.
